The day began with Phi and his family heading to the bride’s house, greeting Vy and her family with trays of food and gifts. This beautiful start set the tone for what would be an amazing celebration filled with culture, love, and joy. As a husband and wife team providing Vietnamese wedding videography in Minneapolis, we loved to document the beginning of this traditional day.
The traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony took place in Vy’s parents’ living room. The space was filled with both families as they asked permission from their relatives and ancestors to bless the marriage. Phi and Vy looked stunning in their traditional Ao Dai outfits, honoring their heritage.
Being Vietnamese Wedding Videographers, we love capturing these meaningful ceremonies. The Tea Ceremony is one of our favorites to film. We get to document the couple serving tea while their loved ones give marriage advice and heartfelt wishes.

After the Tea Ceremony, we headed to the Catholic Church in Minneapolis where Vy grew up attending. Phi and Vy arrived in style in a black stretch limo from Premier Transportation. The ceremony was truly beautiful as they exchanged vows in front of their friends and family.
The church setting created a perfect backdrop for capturing those emotional moments that make wedding videos so special. If you’re wondering about the value of wedding videography, check out this article about why wedding videography is important with client reaction videos.

After a short lunch at Vy’s family home, the couple headed to Boom Island Park for wedding party and couples photos. It was a perfect summer day with clear blue skies, making it an ideal setting for capturing beautiful moments.
This Minneapolis park offers stunning views of the city skyline and natural beauty, making it a popular choice for wedding photography and videography. For more great photo locations, check out our guide to the Best Minneapolis Locations for a first look.

The celebration continued at Midpointe Event Center, where the couple hosted their reception. This Minneapolis venue provided the perfect setting for Phi and Vy to celebrate with their loved ones.
